OUR STORY
Founded in 2000 by Luke Sikkens, Sikkens Construction Ltd. started with a bridge maintenance contract from the MTO, a modest crew, and a single truck. Under Luke's guidance, the company expanded significantly, moving to a larger facility in Thorold in 2016. Luke’s son, Kurt Sikkens, who joined the family business in 2007 at 14, ascended from a general labourer to foreman, eventually taking over in 2015 when Luke retired. Kurt’s dedication expanded the company’s reach from Niagara to Oshawa, laying the groundwork for Sikkens Paving in 2022. Rooted in deep-seated values of professionalism, reliability, and an unwavering work ethic, Sikkens Paving continues to build on this legacy, evidenced by glowing customer testimonials and a robust portfolio of residential and commercial completed paving projects throughout Niagara.
